The first step over here is to create a new file, so for that go to file and then select option new over there. After that, you can set the height and width of the document accordingly, or else you can set it as follows, and then click on okay. After that, we need to fill this background with black color, so for that, select the paint bucket tool and then select the background color as black, and then using the paint bucket tool, fill the background with that black cover. Now we need to type in the text over here, so for that, select the horizontal type tool and then set the font to any font of your choice. I'm setting it as Times New Roman. After that, set the size of the font accordingly, and then set the foreground color to white, which will be our font color, then click OK. After that, click on the document, type in the first letter of your text, and then click on the tick icon to place it, and then using the move tool, place the letter at the center of the document. So now this looks good. After that, we need to create the second letter for the logo. For that, press Ctrl + J to create a duplicate of the current text layer.

And then press shift and drag the duplicate text layer towards the right by pressing shift it drags in a straight line after that double click on the T icon of the duplicate text layer which will give you the selection of the whole letter and then press backspace key of your keyboard to delete that letter and then type in the second letter of your logo which is S , so now for this logo I don't want to keep the two letters with that of same color so for that press ctrl + A which will give you the selection of whole letter after that set the foreground color as the color which you would like to give to the second letter and then click on okay after that click on this tick icon to place it so after that we need to place this half portion of the S letter inside of the D letter for that press shift and drag it towards left now after that we need to merge the two text layers into a single group so for that press Ctrl and click on the D text layer which will keep the selection of the S text layer

And give you the selection of D text layer after that press Ctrl + G to merge the two text layers into a single group after that we need to place the whole text at the centre of the document so for that press ctrl + click on the background layer and then select move tool and then click on align vertical centers after that click on align horizontal centres so as you can see the text has been placed at the centre of the document after that make the group text layer active by clicking on it and now for our logo we need to create a circle outside of this text over here so for that select ellipse tool and then set the fill as no color set the color of the stroke as white then set the size of the stroke accordingly I'm setting it as 4.99 point and after that using the tool click on the document and then set the height and the width are same I'm setting it as 2052 pixels and then click on ok so now if you don't want to create a circle like this way then you can press shift and drag it as follows as well so as you can see it creates a circle like that way also after that

We need to place the circle at the center of the document so for that press Ctrl and click on the background layer and then select move tool and then click on align vertical centers after that click on align horizontal centers so as you can see the circle has been placed at the center of the document after that make the ellipse layer active by clicking on it and then right click on the ellipse layer and then select rasterize layer over there so now after that for S text letter we want to remove the top and the bottom part which is overlapping over the D text letter and only keep the middle part which is overlapping over the D text level so for that expand the group text layer and then make the S text layer active by clicking on it after that click on add layer mask icon and then press Ctrl + click on the T icon of the D text layer which will give you the selection of that letter and then set the foreground color as black and then press Alt + delete key of your keyboard to remove the portion of the S text layer which is inside of the selection after that press a ctrl + D to deselect the selection so as you can see with the top and the bottom part the middle part has also been removed

So now we need to bring it back, so for that, select the pen tool, and then using the pen tool, make the selection of that portion that you want to bring back. I'm zooming into the image. After that, click inside the path and then select the option Make Selection, and then click OK. Now set the foreground color to white. After that, press the Alt + delete key from the keyboard to bring up that portion of the S text letter that is inside of the selection. After that, press Ctrl + D to deselect the selection. After that, I'm zooming out a little, so now this looks perfect, but I want to have gaps between the intersections, so for that, using the pen tool, make the selection as follows: do the same thing for the bottom S part, so now both parts have been selected after that, right? Click inside the path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK after that.

Set the foreground color to black. After that, press the Alt + delete key on your keyboard to remove that portion of the S letter that is inside the selection. After that, press Ctrl + D to deselect the selection. So now we need to do the same thing for the D middle portion. So for that, make the D text layer active by clicking on it, then click on the add layer mask icon, and then using the pen tool, make the selection as follows: After that, right-click inside the path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion of the path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion of the path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion path and then select the make selection option, and then click OK. Make sure that the foreground color is black, and then press the alt + Delete key from the keyboard to remove that portion of the D text layer that is inside the selection, and then press ctrl + D to deselect the selection. So, as you can see, the inner portion of the logo is ready. Now we need to do the same thing for the ellipse. So for that, make the ellipse layer active by clicking on it, then click on the add layer mask icon, and then using the pen tool, make the selections as follows:

So once the parts are ready, right-click inside the path, select the make selection option, click OK, and then make sure that the foreground color is black. After that, press the Alt + delete key on your keyboard to remove that portion of the ellipse that is inside the selection. After that, press Ctrl + D to deselect the selection. so now as you can see our logo is ready and we just need to add the metal portion over here so for that merge the two layers that is the ellipse layer and the text layer into a single group so for that press ctrl + click on this group layer and then press ctrl + G to merge the two layers into a single group after that bring in the metal image over here download link for the metal image in the description below and then make sure that the metal image covers the whole logo after that click on the tick icon to place it after that right-click on the metal image layer and then select option create clipping mask and then change the blend mode of the metal image layer to multiply so now as you can see a metal logo is ready and to make it look more better and realistic I'm adding some shadows over here so firstly for that we need to merge the group layer and the metal layer into a single group so for that press ctrl + click on the group layer it will give you the selection of that linear after that press ctrl + G to merge the two layers into a single group

After that, create a duplicate of this group and then hide the original group layer. After that, right-click on the duplicate group layer and then select the option merge group. After that, I'm changing the background over here as well so that the shadow effect I'm adding will be visible. So for that, make the background layer active, then bring in the background image over you, scale the image so that it fits the whole document, press shift while scaling to scale evenly, and then click on the tick to place it. After that, make the merge group layer active by clicking on it, then click on the add layer style icon, and then select the option blending options over there. After that, click on drop shadow. Now set the blend mode of the drop shadow to normal. set the opacity to 75%, and the angle to 120 degrees, then set the distance to 60 pixels, spread to 10% in size to 60 pixels, and click OK.

Now to show you the effect of what we just did I am clicking on this effects eye icon as you can see it gives a nice effect to the logo over here so now a metal logo is ready but if you want to use this metal logo into some other image so for that you have to save it with a transparent background so for that hide the background layer hide the black background image layer as well and then go to image and then select option trim over there after that select transparent pixels to trim away from the top bottom left right and then click on OK after that save this image as a PNG image now to place that logo which we have just saved inside of this image then go to file and then select place option after that select the logo which we have just saved and then select place after that scale and place the logo accordingly so as you can see we have created a metal logo with a transparent background.
